coverage date maps
i maintain coverage date maps of every country and dependency available on google maps using my own map-generator fork. you can view the maps here, or download them and import them into map-making.app.
maps get updated approximately every month (last update: ????-??-??). contains over 2 million locations to ensure that it is in a reasonably high resolution.

why are some locations in the wrong country?
this is because i use a fairly low-resolution geojson for country boundaries. there should barely be any issues (say, 1 in 2000 locations at most), but it may happen. old versions of the maps had more issues due to how map-generator worked, but since i rewrote it from scratch, this should be resolved.what's up with the 2007-01 entries that are clearly wrong?
google maps apparently uses 2007-01 as the date when they are missing data. nothing i can do about that sadlywhy is data so much more sparse in some parts of a country?
each iteration of the map builds on the previous version. in cases where coverage has been added after the first version, this results in a more sparse dataset, although new areas will also start filling up with each update.how often are these maps generated?
once every month or so. i don't have the generation automated because making these maps requires an insane amount of api calls, and i want to make sure that i am being at least somewhat responsible with my api usage.i have a suggestion to improve your maps
